First race of the season was held in near perfect conditons for shaking out the sails and bedding the rig in. Various bats, moths and cobwebs were seen in and around the harbour as the sails were unfurled and hoisted. Unfortunately numbers were down due to the postponed boat lift leaving half the fleet still residing in the the boat park. However ten boats took part with two of this years new additions, the Hunter Delta of John Qualtrough and the Westerly Fulmar of Mike Pollard having their first outing round the Bay.

Thanks to OOD Sandy Gorst for officiating, it may have been reasonably warm sailing but i’m sure standing on the Pier for a couple of hours was quite chilly. A large thank you from all the competitors.
