Next Race Sunday 10th May
Posted By admin on May 5, 2009
Provisional reports indicate more of the usual suspects will be appearing this Sunday for the race as all the boat park residents are now lifted in. But former champion Neville Taylor appears under pressure to get the mast up and rig set in time, not so for Tony Gale who completed his training session last weekend in his new Hurley with a full lap of the Bay and the compulsory overnight in the inner harbour or was it Glue Pot? The latest man of leisure, newly retired John Dowling should appear in Poppard and with the Laser2 of Ben Hellowell having it’s first outing there should be upwards of 15 boats competing. But the real dark horse could be Peter Hill-Heaton in his one design Joan who will be just back in time for the race from intensive sail training in the Med.
