Next Race Sunday 24th May

The next race, race 3 is scheduled for this coming Sunday starting at 10:45am. Current forecast @ 20:00hrs on the 19th suggests ENE 7-9 knots and rain. We can only hope for more wind! But hopefully we’ll at least get a full race without having the OOD call a shortened course as the faster boats felt a little cheated last race covering only a triangle and sausage. Numbers have been down upto now with only 10 boats coming to the line in the last 2 races hopefully we’ll beat that number this week. Rumour has it Ben Hellowell will be having an outing in the LaserII but it pivots on accident prone father John passing a fitness test to crew. Last race winner JQ snr will be hoping for a double this week but the lighter winds may need the crew (ballast) to shed a few pounds beforehand.
