After TT weeks it’s CDMYC week

The next week looms as the busiest in the clubs calendar with three races over five days.
The first race on Wednesday is a new venture for the Club with an evening start at 18:30, this could see some members having to make some serious decisions between the slippers and the hot milk, the yacht race, or others may plunge the depths of depravity and play bowls. We can only wait and see who turns up, speculation about what the absentee’s are doing should fill some column space.
Second race is one of the premier races in the club and the longest established one off race excluding the Regatta, the Jack Hill-Heaton single handed race, again a challenging start time, 08:30 in the morning which should guarantee a low turnout on the Pier and possibly the day for getting away with any mishaps!
Third race on Sunday and a 09:30 start, well we should all have had a bit of practice by then.
Some notable absentees this next week will be the JQ jnr boat Dilemma not appearing due to Hannah and Chris’s wedding on Saturday, I’m sure everyone in the Club joins me in wishing them both all the best for the big day, hopefully she’ll helm the marriage better than Q helms the cat. Any JQ mishaps will be reported here first but i’m sure best behaviour will be the order of the day (wouldn’t your’s be with 4 women in the family!)
Another boat at risk of a no show on Sunday could be the Tuvag boys, definitely a bit early on a Sunday morning and also Rex has been spotted on a number of occasions swimming round the Bay looking for the winch handle. (thanks for posting Tom, at least that’s two people in the site, (all abuse gratefully accepted, but sublimated guilt………… me?? I would have thought it would have been you guys, Sublimation - Chemistry, the change of a solid to a gas, as happens when you hit the BB, forget the fairy psychology stuff))
Long range is fairly confusing at the moment but check the weather links for how it progresses.
