Sunday 26th - Race 8????

Posted By admin on July 26, 2009

Well what a change in days, SSW 27 knots and a wonderfull sea off the Bell Buoy. Whilst most boats stayed in port with skippers in the Bar it was left to the unstoppable JQ in the Delta to take to the water. Yes i know the rules say two boats for a race but in an effort to get round them Q took the OOD with him, luckily enough one other competitor was out on the water sailing or was it flying?

Typically all the Q dirty tricks were on show, not happy taking the OOD with him he then sat him between two pretty girls, it may have been top end force 6, bottom 7 but wouldn’t you smile?

It's a tough life as OOD

Luckily a second competitor made a race of it, mixed in with some impressive low level flying off the tops of waves he made brief appearances on Ronaldsway radar.

For all your fast sailing bits go to Manx Marine on the Quay in Douglas - you too could be this quick!

……… and lastly sailing decorum plummets with the latest dress code, the big question is, is Julie smiling or laughing as it was cold out there?

7.5 knots with jib only…..waves the size of houses at The Bell……both John’s goading each other into more daring-do…….Craig doing 50knots (good photo John)…..nothing compared with the exhilaration of a 60 something sitting between those two…….
