Just a reminder the long race will be Saturday 7th and a 10:15am start with a BBQ at lunchtime (bring your own meat, fish, etc) the cooking thingy is courtesy of IOMYC but the rest’s up to us. Minor plans for a race in the afternoon using IOMYC marks but the decison will be made at lunchtime [...]

Well yes, we had a race and all those that “talk a good sail” appeared out on the water, but 14 boats is a number not to be sneered at. It makes you wonder which club’s got the right racing setup? Basic rules, basic h’caps, but a relaxed approach to; if it sails, race it!Â

This one was doomed from the start, blustery 20 - 25 knots, late out of the harbour and lovely big confused seas at the Bell Buoy. With only Shearwater, Dilemma, Rupert Bear and PMT deciding to sail it was never going to be a spectacle in the Bay but as the sun came out things looked a little [...]
