Sadly I have to inform members of the passing of Alan after a long illness.Â
My memories of Alan stretch back to the early seventies when, as a raw school leaver Alan mentored and cajoled me through fours years of Enginnering theory. His dedication and patience reflected the person he was.  After a stuttering final year, he was probably very relieved [...]

Early indications are for near perfect conditions for Sunday’s race with blue sky and a steady “brisk” NW which is converting to approx. 20kts @ 310 degrees. Check the weather links on the home page closer to the day. Some serious canvassing has been done to lure Robin and his new dinghy down for Sunday and if [...]

One of the more controversial races of the season with the “sailing” OOD calling a shortened course in a steady SE anabatic wind.  The big question is, did he have an ulterior motive in his actions in being invited to a party in the Glue Pot?????  This must go down as the biggest lost opportunity of [...]

Not to be outdone that other fealess sinker of a one design fought back to retain the calamity title by changing from single handed sailing to single handed demolition of the Rock. Mike and Evelyn must have thought an earth quake had started as a metal bound bow sprit pounded the sea wall of their property.

On a fairly grey and blustery morning 8 boats started the race to PSM, a fairly slow start in the wind shadow of the Castle saw all the boats crawl towards the Bell but soon out of the shadow allowed them all to lift their skirts and run for the starboard rounding. First round was Mark [...]
